A veterinary referral does not cost anything but it does ensure that your vet is informed and is in agreement with any additional therapies, such as veterinary physiotherapy, is being administered to your animal. Receiving consent from your veterinarian is a essential part of the legal and ethical framework that regulates the practice of veterinary physiotherapy and ensures the highest of standards of care and accountability are met for your animal.

Following a revision of the legislation, it is no longer mandatory to receive a veterinary referral for maintenance veterinary physiotherapy purposes. Nevertheless, Kyla Bailey Veterinary Physiotherapy will continue to seek veterinary and owner permission for maintenance cases.
